On 14 May 2009 a young singer named Britlin Losee from Long Island, New York, uploaded a video message to YouTube.
In her message she recorded her vocal part from one of her favourite choral pieces. It was by Eric Whitacre, a composer who had inspired her. Whitacre saw Britlin's message and wondered whether a complete performance could be created from individually submitted recordings. The Virtual Choir was born! |
